Skomer Island

Skomer is a small island off the coast of Pembrokeshire - Wales, and is famous for one thing above all others - the annual breeding season of the Atlantic puffin. During June and July each year the puffin adults migrate back to the UK to breed and bring up their pufflings, and the heavily-studied individuals on Skomer are a pilgrimage for many photographers!

The best times to see puffins is June for arriving adults and later in July for fledging pufflings!
